Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro noise cancelling

Adaptive ANC 4.0 runs on Anker’s Thus AI chip and keeps adjusting to the noise around you and to how the earbuds sit in your ears. Soundcore rates it as twice as effective as the Liberty 4 Pro. It is at its best with steady sound – bus and three-wheeler engines, air conditioning, office hum and aircraft cabins. Transparency mode lets outside sound in when you need to hear an announcement or talk at the counter.

Clear calls, even on a noisy road

Each earbud uses 8 microphones in total plus 2 VPU bone-conduction sensors that pick up your voice through vibration. An AI noise reduction model then separates your voice from traffic and wind. If you take a lot of calls on the move, this is the strongest reason to choose the Liberty 5 Pro over cheaper earbuds.

LDAC Hi-Res sound with 9.2mm drivers

The 9.2mm wool-paper diaphragm drivers support LDAC for Hi-Res Wireless audio on Android phones, as well as AAC for iPhone and SBC. Dolby Audio with head tracking adds spatial sound for films and videos. The default tuning is bass-forward; the 8-band equaliser and HearID in the Soundcore app let you tune it to your own ears.

Up to 50 hours of battery

You get up to 12 hours from the earbuds on one charge and up to 50 hours with the case, with noise cancelling off. With ANC on, expect up to 6.5 hours per charge and 28 hours in total. Five minutes of charging gives up to four hours of listening, and the case charges over USB-C or on any Qi wireless charging pad.

A charging case with a touch screen

The front of the case has a 0.96-inch touch screen. Without taking out your phone you can check battery levels, switch noise cancelling modes, change volume, control the camera shutter and start pairing. It is a genuinely useful shortcut on the bus or at the gym.

Connects to three devices, IP55 protection

Bluetooth 6.1 with multipoint keeps the Liberty 5 Pro connected to up to three devices, so your phone, laptop and tablet can share one pair of earbuds. Note that LDAC is not available while three devices are connected. The earbuds are IP55 rated for sweat, rain and dust, and each one weighs only 5.5 grams.

Smart features in the Soundcore app

The Soundcore app adds HearID personalised sound, custom touch controls, “Hey Anka” voice commands, AI real-time translation for conversations, and Find My Earbuds. Updates arrive through the app.

How good is the noise cancelling?
Very strong for steady noise such as engines, air conditioning and aircraft cabins. Sudden sounds like horns still come through – that is true of every earbud.

How long does the battery last?
Up to 12 hours per charge and 50 hours with the case with ANC off, or 6.5 and 28 hours with ANC on. Loud volume reduces both.

Does it work with an iPhone?
Yes. It pairs normally over Bluetooth and uses AAC on iPhone. LDAC Hi-Res works on supported Android phones.

Is it waterproof?
It is IP55 rated, so sweat, rain and dust are fine. Do not swim or shower with it.

What is the difference between the Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max?
The earbuds are the same. The Pro Max adds an AI meeting recorder and note taker to its case and costs more. For music and calls, the Liberty 5 Pro gives you the same experience.
