JBL rates the Tune 730BT at up to 76 hours on a single charge. For most people that means charging roughly once a month rather than every few days. When you do forget, the speed charge feature gives you five hours of playback from a five minute top-up. A full charge takes about two hours over USB-C.

40mm drivers with JBL Pure Bass Sound

Each ear cup holds a 40mm driver covering 20 Hz to 20 kHz, tuned to JBL’s Pure Bass signature – the same weighty low end you hear from JBL speakers. It suits hip hop, EDM, Sinhala pop and film soundtracks particularly well. Three things to know before you buy

We would rather be straight with you than have you return them. First, the Tune 730BT does not have active noise cancelling – the over-ear cushions block some sound passively, but they will not silence a bus engine. Second, there is no 3.5mm socket, so these are wireless only and cannot be plugged into a cable. Third, JBL does not include a charging cable in the box, so use any USB-C cable you already have.

If noise cancelling matters to you, look at the JBL Tune 770NC instead – it is only a little more and adds ANC. If you want to spend less, the JBL Tune 720BT is the previous generation of this same model.

No. For active noise cancelling, choose the JBL Tune 770NC.
