76 hours of battery – charge it twice a month

JBL rates the Tune 530BT at up to 76 hours of music playback and 45 hours of talk time. To put that in perspective, if you listen for two hours a day you are charging these roughly once a month. There is also a speed charge feature: five minutes on the charger gives you about five more hours of listening, which is enough to save you on the morning you forgot to plug them in. A full charge takes around two hours over USB-C.

Inside each cup is a 33mm dynamic driver covering 20 Hz to 20 kHz, tuned with JBL’s Pure Bass signature. First, these are wireless only – there is no 3.5mm socket, so you cannot plug them into a cable when the battery runs out or into equipment that needs a wired connection. Second, this model does not have active noise cancelling. The on-ear cushions block some sound passively, but they will not silence a bus engine or an air conditioner. Does the JBL Tune 530BT really last 76 hours?
That is JBL’s official rating at moderate volume. Listening loudly will bring it down, but even at high volume you will get several days of normal use between charges.

Can I use it with a cable?
No. The Tune 530BT is wireless only – there is no 3.5mm input.
